FAQ
The heat agreement is our service model. You pay a one-off €50 setup fee per cushion, then €5 per month per cushion. The agreement runs for 48 months and renews automatically. Cancellation requires 12 months' written notice. Billing is monthly via Stripe. Included is an annual refit at €50 per cushion: a complete refresh of your entire terrace once a year. You don't have to use it, but it's there when something got spilled or worn.
A built-in pressure sensor automatically switches the cushion off the moment a guest stands up. No staff action needed. This prevents energy waste and protects battery life throughout the day.
Yes. The Olefin outer fabric features a full TPU waterproof coating, resistant to rain, wind and condensation. The electronics are fully sealed inside. The Sheepskin model is suitable for dry cold conditions; we recommend the Olefin for exposed terraces.
The loading dock charges up to 10 batteries simultaneously overnight via slow charge, CE certified. Each battery slot has an LED display showing charge status. Plug in at closing time, fully charged by opening. One dock handles 10 cushions; additional docks can be added for larger terraces.
Yes, because HeatUup is a heat service agreement rather than a product purchase, it qualifies as a sustainability investment under many Dutch municipal climate programmes. Up to €10,000 per venue is possible. Eligibility depends on your municipality.
The minimum is 10 cushions. We tailor every proposal to the size and layout of your terrace, including the right number of loading docks and batteries. Delivery throughout Europe.
Once a year you can request a complete refit of your terrace for €50 per cushion. Every cushion is replaced with a fresh one, same model and colour. You don't have to use it, but it's there when something got spilled, worn or you simply want a fresh start for the new season.
